Mendoza (Argentina)

I am in Mendoza with Mirco. The city is not too big and right on the Andes, very close to the Chilian border. I have been here for the past 2 weeks and I will be leaving the place this coming Monday.
We have visited the Potrellos sierra, we have done wine tours by bike around Mendoza (Maipu'), we went to the Thermal place surrounded by mountains and we have visited the city. The place is very relaxing and quite compare to Cordoba or Rosario. Also people leaving here seems to be more relaxed. They look less European than other Argentinian cities and more like Indios. I have uploaded some of the pics taken the past few weeks. I will be going to Salta next week for two days where I will meet Fabrizio and together we will be travelling through Bolivia for 3 weeks.

Cordoba (Argentina)

Ciao,

I am in Cordoba about 8 hours from Buenos Aires and same hours from Rosario. The city is the second largest in Argentina. It is quite big, very busy, but also very safe. The small town of Alta Gracia, Carlo Paz and Belgrano around the city are very pretty and peaceful. I have done horse riding on the sierra and I have visited the house of Che Guevara in Alta Gracia, where he spent his childhood. I have also done trekking on the mountains of la Cumbrecita. It was a sunny day, but very very cold. The place is peaceful and if it wasn't so expensive I would have spent an entire week there. So I am back in Cordoba.
I have been in the city for 4 days and made friends with people in the hostel. I am going to spend another week here as I am doing a Spanish course. I will upload more pic of Cordoba soon...

I will be in Cordoba for this week too, trying to improve my Spanish. I still doing the Spanish course. I will be moving to Mendoza next week where I will be meeting Mirco.

I have been at the Brazil Ecuador game. It was a nice experience to support Brazil with the Brasileri...Brazil won 4 2 and they are through the next stage of the Copa America.

Ciao

Rosario (Argentina)

Ciao

After 19 hours bus from Puerto Iguazu, I have arrived in Rosario, the third largest city in Argentina. There is nothing special in the city. The only things I have seen are the park, la plaza, the house of Maradona when he played For Rosario and the two stadiums of the two main clubs of the city. I am leaving today heading to Cordoba the second largest town of Argentina, 6 hours bus from Rosario. I have few photos been uploaded today. Check more photos...

Puerto Iguazu (Argentina)

Ciao,

I am in Puerto Iguazu in Argentina, right on the Brazial border. I arrived here yesterday after 25 hours bus trip from Rio de Janeiro. Puerto Iguazu is a small town. There is nothing to visit in the actual town and the main attractions are the waterfalls. I have visited the falls today. They were spectacular. Especially the Garganta del Diablo was very impressive.
Iguazu Falls is located where the Iguazu River meets the edge of the ParanĂ¡ river. The power generated by the waterfalls is so strong that produces 100% of the electricty of Paraguay and 20% of the Brazialian one. I have spent most of the day in the Iguazu park where you can see many wild animals never seen before. I am leaving Puerto Iguazu tomorrow and heading off to Rosario. It is about 17 hours by bus from Puerto Iguazu and four hours away from Buenos Aires. I will be travelling with a French girl met in the park who is going to Rosario too. I stay there a couple of days before going to the capital. The plan is not really sticking to the original itinerary, but there are so many people advising me to go to Rosario as it is not too touristy, but very nice and cheap. Lets see how it goes. I will try to upload some photos as soon as I find a cable for the camera.

Rio De Janeiro (Brazil)

I am in Rio De Janeiro. The city is really beautiful. It is winter but today there were 28 degrees. I have visited the beaches Copacabana and Ipanema, the centro historico, the Corcovado with the statue of Christ, the sugarloaf, Santa Teresa and Leblon. The city is not dangerous at all and people seem to be very nice and helpful. I stay here until Thursday and then I get the bus to Iguazu. I will upload some photos as soon as I can.
